UDs and EM-Gabon tie the knot
Dschang,UDs/SIC-25/09/19.A Framework Agreement and Specific Convention was on the 24th of September 2019 signed between the UDs and the School of Management in Gabon (EM-G). Hosting the event at the International House, UDs was represented by the Chancellery Council led by the VC, Pr. Roger TSAFACK NANFOSSO and EM-G, represented by its Promoter, Pr. David Frank IDIATA accompanied by his close collaborator, Pr. Vincent de Paul ATHIARO, Director General of EM-G. After the pleasantries of getting to know each other, the VC, UDs presented part of the wealth of UDs not only in terms of institutions and programs, but also the good number of Private Higher Education institutes under her tutelage. In assuring terms, the VC expressed the determination of his institution to provide full assistance to the guest institution within the framework of the Agreement and Convention that will bind the two institutions. On his part the Promoter of EM-G, Pr. David Frank IDIATA, expressed gratitude to the VC and the members of the UDs community for accepting to concretize this agreement. In a presentation of his institution, he said EM-G was created officially in 2010 and took off in 2012 with the signing of a Cooperation Framework Agreement with the University of Poitier, France which supports the mobility of lecturers towards Gabon. Other Conventions permitted certain training programs to be introduced through distance education in view of French Higher Education Certificates. Other conventions to enhance the quality of studies in EM-G have also been signed with public and private higher Education institutions not only in Gabon but also in Cameroon, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Ghana. He averred that EM-G has graduated over 1000 Professional Bachelors and Masters in the domain of management. In a bid to justify their choice of collaborating with UDs, Pr. David Frank IDIATA raised amongst other reasons, UDs’ brilliance epitomized in the classification of universities of the CEMAC Zone. To this effect, he expressed satisfaction that the students of EM-G will benefit from the expertise of lecturers, the quality of education offered and certificates issued by the UDs. The event drew to its close with the signing of the Framework Agreement and a Specific Convention between the UDs and EM-G, followed by a brief moment of exchange with Heads of Faculties in a bid to better plan the type of assistance that can be offered by the UDs in the requested domains of expertise in economics, management, Agriculture, health and cinema.
